A clean and simple design. Would give it more stars for the following items though:
- A suite of tests driving design and keeping things from breaking
- An MVC web UI either using Monorail or ASP.NET MVC
- An ORM like nHibernate or even just ActiveRecord driving the database providers instead of coded SQL statements
Any two out of three would get 5 stars from me ;-)

This is MOST EXCELLENT. I've only worked with classic asp before, never with a dot net application. I really tried hard to screw this up, but couldn't. Great job.
The open source extensions are perfect.

The version is super.
It makes fun of this version of extensions developed.

Text.Encoding.Default 全部改成 System.Text.Encoding.UTF8 並重新編譯部署

Outstanding out-of-the-box functionality with easy access to modification and extension. The deeper I looked into the source the more I liked the detailed touches.

This is exactly what i was looking for!
Thank you very much for the effort and hard work on this project! The best thing for me is I got two things out of this:
1. A blog solution that we can install and maintain ourselves, which is pretty well SEO optimized.
2. After watching Al's how to videos(Really helpful!), we will probably start using Camtasia as well.
Thanks guys!

Why are there only 3 themes with the 1.5 release? I thought there were supposed to be like 8 or so? It would be great if the thing would come with a dozen or more. As a side note, the Links widget page should sort the links alphabetically (or allow manual arrangement). The release appears quite solid and very good.

The main issue I see with this is support for VS2008 is required. I have tried the express version of VS2008 to no avail it declares folders are not allowed in Express version of VS2008. Wish I could use it - VS2005 support would be nice. Mayybe I can get it to work with Sharp Develop ?

A few people have already said it: I love this project, the software is stable, solid and the community behind it is fantastic! EASY to install, deploy, maintain and even enhance if you're a code jockey.

Using be.net on a few business sites and getting great google results. Like that I can keep everything on the file system. Saves big dough because I don't have to use SQL server.
Key will be improving usability in the future as other blogging engines improve (e.g. wordpress).
We are entering an era where the underlying technology is not as important as the results.
Regardless...love be.net

I love this project. The architecture is solid and the product out of the box is a very flexible, capable website platform.

Over the years I've tried many .NET-based blog apps, so far BlogEngine.NET is one of the easiest to setup and deploy, manage and extend. It really is, currently, one of the best solutions out there for anyone that needs a customizable blog site without a ton of unnecessary features or a hard-to-extend codebase. Kudos.

Very simple (true plug and play).
Easy to make additions using a multitude of methods.
Whatever features are missing (not many) I found very simple to add.
The MSSQL option was also very easy to install.

Suitable for light work. Lacks many features, ie you can nest pages, but display is not nested to the end user. Not able to do page level editing security or AD intergration (out of the box). Help is usually cryptic and commonly met with a just pop open visual studio and do this. But I am using it for an internal site and it shows promise, which is why I give it a 3 and not 2. Install is so so

Excellent product. worked first time and does exactly as you would expect. With creative use of Pages and Themes, i see no reason why entire websites couldn't be built using BE.Net alone!
Also, the code is pretty clean and self explanatory so if it doesn't do what you want, anyone with a bit of coding skills could easily tailor it to their needs... I've got big plans for this little baby!! ;)

Great full featured easily extensible blog application. This release allows most all data to be stored in a database and hosted in a single server farm. Love the nested comments and move of more items to the database. Be sure to get the new blog roll as well - love the ability to sort and store the blogroll in the database. Keep up the great work! You guys are awesome!

I totally agree with you and I am truly impressed with the features on this version of BE.NET. The themes are a lot better and I have heaps of choices now. Besides, the blog loads faster than the previous version and it works just fine with my hosting account. FYI, I host this blog at ASPHostCentral.com under the Windows Server 2008 platform (IIS7).

Great release! Rock solid blogging engine with a ton of features that other (even commercial) engines don't have, and it is incredibly lightweight. Xcopy deployment of the entire blog with its data format is very small.

I have used BE.NET for both commercial and personal initiatives and have seen it perform well in both areas. Then there is the fact that it is intuitive, has a great architecture and the implementation is superb. Keep up the great work.

把Web.config globalization 區段改成
<globalization
requestEncoding="gb2312"
responseEncoding="gb2312"
/>
應該就不會出現亂碼,但相對的多國語系功能將喪失
