Email notification when there's a new comment

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a feature in BE.NET 1.6 that can send an email when there's a new comment on my blog post? This is not about "Notify me when new comments are added".

If there is .. then it's not working.

There is.  On the Extensions tab in the control panel, you'll find the SendCommentMail extension.  This will send you an email when a new comment is left.

In order for this to work, the person leaving the comment cannot be logged into the blog.  So if you're logged in and adding a test comment, the email won't be sent.  If you log out and leave a comment, the email will be sent.  Also make sure the email information you entered on the Settings tab is correct and functioning.

Hi Ben,

I got it working now .. probably some problem on my SMTP server so I just used my gmail acount.

Anyway, back to tinyMCE.ascx for Pages

I want to add EMBED and OBJECT but I want to have all its attributes available. How do I do this?

currently, this is just what I did: iframe[name|id|src|frameborder|width|height|style],object, embed

but doesn't look like its working.

It looks like you can use an asterisk, which would mean all attributes:

iframe[*],object[*],embed[*]

@zfj2011

you must put *

e.g. object[*],embed[*]

if you just want to have ID, NAME, you must do it like this

e.g. object[name|id],embed[name|id]

am sure you know what to do next :)
