This is what I would really love to see. I do not know how doable it is with the current code base. While I am a .NET developer, I have my own projects that seem to consume me so I will rely on this wonderful group to take this idea and run with
- Restrict category creation to either Admin or admin roles.
- Restrict authors to publish only to categories that admin specifies, either my individual author, by role, or by both,
- Create a page that manages author entitlements to categories.
A model such as this would work wonders in a more structured (read controlled) authoring environment. My example is, a group I volunteer for wants to consider this product for a school. We'd only want the 1st grade teacher to author 1st grade
categorized posts, ditto for 2nd, basically, k through 8.
