HTTP Compression messing with Control Adapters

When I enable HTTP Compression it causes Javascript errors in my BE pages.

If I look at the VS debugging I can see the errors are caused by some garbage that is prefixed to the js.axd file.

With HTTP Compression enabled I see the following "js.axd?path=var hoverClass = "AspNet-Menu-Hover";"

I've no idea where the "" is coming from but I it's related to the compression - perhaps some minifying that occurs.

And this is what browser is complaining about.

I really would like to take advantage of the compression.

Has anyone come across something similar and any ideas of how to fix it?

Regards

Derek

Derek,

although this doesn't really help you (sorry!), your commment helped me isolate a problem I've been seeing on my site in certain cases. It actually happened b/c of the WebResource.axd compression, and not HTTP compression.  Thank you!

EDIT: Well, I spoke too soon... I didn't fix my error.
