IP Address filter not working

Hi All,

I've tried blocking one particular spammers IP address and the filter just ignores it and let's it through.  I'm using version 1.6 of BE.  I've started to block the website url but it'd be nice if the IP block worked.

You probably have a rule that overrides this filter. For example, that user already have number of approved comments.

hmmm.  How can I see those other rules?  If they are approved it's because they've slipped through and I want to rectify that.

It's looking for comments with same IP or email in the inbox. You can filter on IP by clicking IP link in the comment list. If you have lots of comments and it is hard to find, click any and then change IP in the address bar and hit enter.

I'm not seeing any that have been approved, but maybe this time I got them all.  I'll watch for a couple of days and then let you know if I have further problems.  Thanks so much for responding quickly.
