Post Descriptions

Apr 15, 2010 at 11:06 AM
Hi. I'm new to blogengine, so apologies if this question has an obvious answer. Since I tend to write quite long posts, I've ticked the 'only show description of posts' check box in my control panel. However, as far as I can tell, you can't add an image to your description; nor can you put text in bold or italics (which I'd prefer to grab attention on the homepage, without having to click through). Is there anyway to get around this? Or is there a way to customise some posts to only show description (or a shortened version) on the homepage, and others to appear in their entirity? Cheers.

Use "more" tag in square brackets like so: [more] It will break post in that place and everything after tag will only show up on the details page but not in the post list.
