blog.js not getting compiled

Apr 29, 2010 at 7:12 PM

I've made modifications to the BlogEngine.Net/blog.js file but when I do a full solution recompile in visual studio, the js.axd?path=/BlogEngine.NET/blog.js&v=1.6.0.0 file that is created does not reflect the changes. Infact, if I rename the blog.js file, it still is using the old cached js. Am I missing something here? Thanks.

Figured it out from BenAmada Apr 23 2009 at 2:59 PM Post:<abbr></abbr>

>You can prevent BE from inserting the JS.axd script tag by modifying the BE core and re-compiling it.  In the BlogBasePage.cs file in the Web\Controls folder (in the BE core files), it's being >added with the line of code:

>AddJavaScriptInclude(Utils.RelativeWebRoot + "blog.js", true, true);

>You could remove that and re-compile the core.  Then the script tag you add in your site.master file would look something like:

><script type="text/javascript" src="/BlogEngine.NET/blog.js?v=1.5.0.7"></script>
