500 server Error

Topics: ASP.NET 2.0

I am new to BlogEngine and have no experience of using it. I have used wordpress and joomla

I am using godaddy windows hosting

Now the problem is I wanted to add a page about myself with my image and CV

I added a page and tried to upload an image from the box given below in the new page box. Each time I did it with either a jpeg or doc for the file it showed the following error

This one's down to me! Please accept my apologies for this - I'll see to it that the developer responsible for this happening is given 20 lashes (but only after he or she has fixed this problem).

this was the first thing i did how can there be an error

This error happens when Write permissions are not setup on the App_Data folder.  BE needs to save data to the App_Data folder ... if Write permissions aren't enabled, then you'll get this error.  I don't have a GoDaddy account easily accessible, but I'm sure they have a way to control Folder Permissions within their control panel.  You would want to enable Write (or even Full Permissions) on the App_Data folder for the ASPNET account.
