I have a corporate website written in vb.net and just recently added BlogEngine.NET. Visitors to the site can use the site navigation to click between corporate pages and blog pages. If the visitor had clicked on a banner ad to come to the site,
there will be a campaign id in the query string – that value is then held in a session variable. The problem is the corporate site and blog are different applications and do not share session variables so when the visitor clicks over to a corporate
site page, that page has no knowledge of that value.
It appears an answer to this may be to merge the corporate and blog applications, but that is far beyond my beginner .net skills.
Any ideas where to find a contractor I can pay to help with this?
