Post.Reload() / re-compliation issues

Does Post.Reload cause the website to re-compile for the next visitor?

I'm trying to create post programatically(from external feed)to a single sql database which feeds 5+ BE websites, but I want to avoid re-compiling every so often.

I tried implementing the code provided here to refresh the posts for all sites:

but I think it is causing the site to re-compile...

Any suggestions/Ideas?

Reload will reload all the posts from the data store.  It doesn't (or shouldn't) cause the site to recompile.

A recompile or restart would happen if some unhandled exception occurred, or in the Extensions area in the control panel, there is some code that clears everything out of cache so all the data is reloaded when you enable/disable an extension.

But Post.Reload() shouldn't cause any type of site restart.  If you have a lot of posts, it could take a while for all the posts to load into memory.  If this is the case, it might seem like the application is restarting, but could just be taking time to reload all the posts.
