Require login to view blog posts?

Dec 3, 2010 at 10:11 PM

I'm not sure but I thought that I had read somewhere about a setting that would require users to login to view blog posts, am I crazy or can this be accomplished?  I was think of making my About page the default and require login for the blog posts.  Thank you.

Go to users/roles than select rights for anonymous role in the tools menu and uncheck everything in the posts section.

Thanks but this doesn't work as expected, I have my About page as the front page, if I do the above the login screen comes up and not the About Page.

With BE 2.0, this method of making it a private blog is a blog-wide setting.  It not only prevents logged out users from accessing the blog posts, but Pages too.

I see, it looks like I will have to try the core process like you helped me with before, I need to make the Category eHike require a login.  Thank you for the info Ben.
