Is there anywhere I can buy themes for a premium?  I really don't have time to sit down and play with CSS for my blog =|

There seem to be huge lack of theme compare to what wordpress can offer

I personally do not know of any sites that you can buy Blog Engine themes at right now.

Have you tried : http://www.dotnetblogengine.net/page/themes.aspx

It lists links of Free themes for BlogEngine thats available.

If any of those you can not use then you can email me at : Kbdavis07@yahoo.com

Send me the theme or themes you need converted and I will take a look at them and then I will tell you how much

I will charge for them.   Some themes are easy to convert which I will charge $5.00, but some are hard and would charge more.

But, I am very reasonable and flexible on payment options.

Hope I can help,

You can use site like n3o to purchase custom theme. Or I'm sure you can post a bid on any site where freelance designers looking for a job - BE is not a SharePoint, it is very easy to style. But I understand your concern, we do need better strategy promoting good designs.

There's a lot of free WP themes if you poke around but not that many which actually will work out of the box
My wife runs several WP blogs it gives me a minor headache from time to time when I have to fix some new theme she have found :-)

What design do you need?

For my own blog I have taken this theme ...

... upgraded it to 2.0 and changed the color scheme towards the blue

I really can be a lot of work for us weak in CSS. I have one I am working on. It's based off of i3Theme Pan. I changed it from 2 to 3 column and added the the top menu from Boldy... it's still a work in progress however :)

You can see some themes online here: http://www.bloggersonline.com/demo/

If you want your theme online, add it here http://www.bloggersonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=4.0 and I'll add it.

I have a list of free themes over on my blog - http://reddybrek.com/post/Where-to-go-for-BlogEnginenet-Themes.aspx I haven't gone searching for a while so there might have been some newer ones after popping up.

I recently started making themes for blogengine myself out of frustration of the lack of decent modern looking themes. I only have the one theme completed so far but I have another in the works that should be ready soon - http://reddybrek.com/post/CoolBlue-A-brand-new-BlogEngine-Theme.aspx I have to point out that not all of the widgets work with my theme. It's down to a lack of time to mess around with the CSS.

Hopefully the above is of some use to you or anyone else looking for themes.

Does BlogEngine have an official site for themes?  or are the all ran by third parties?

Also, I am just about done porting a WordPress theme and could use some help identifying items that need attention before letting it go public.

The theme is now available for download.  If you find any quirks in it please report them back at the post so I can fix them for others.
