Adding Image to header, customizing Standard Theme

Feb 11, 2011 at 6:41 PM

In the Standard Theme site.master, I added a jpg image to the header, sized it down appropriately, and placed it at the left border, to the left of the Blog Name.

However, the image does not show—only a place holder, on the browser.

<div id="header">

<p><a href="<%=Utils.AbsoluteWebRoot %>"><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Name %></a>

<img alt="Biafras waving Biafran Flag" class="style1" height="150px"

src="img/BiafransWavingFlags.jpg" width="204px" align="left" /></p>

<span><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Description %></span>

How can I get the image to be displayed by the browser?

(I would have made this request on the “full discussion online” but “The server is experiencing and error.”

Thanks, as always, for your help and dedication.

Can you share a link to your site so I can take a look at what you're trying to accomplish? According to what you're saying it should work. The only thing that I can think of is your src= placement, but it looks like it should still work.

What about your CSS? I noticed you have class="style1" and if there's something preventing it from displaying in the CSS then that would explain it.

Also did you create a subfolder in the root of your BE installation called img and place the image in there?
