blogroll right hand sidebar widget fail after deploy

I've successfully configured and deployed be via webmatrix using the DbBlogProvider. However the blogRoll widget in the right hand side bar does not display. On initial page load what looks like what might be part of the custom error page displays in the blogRoll widget area. Subsequent page refresh doesn't show that error. (except after a bit of time (many minutes) where presumably the cache empties.)

I downloaded the source and successfully compiled and deployed from Visual Studio 2010. Same results on the BlogRoll widget on the right hand side bar.

When I run the project locally out of either web matrix or Visual Studio against the same sql db the BlogRoll displays corectly.

It may be a code access security problem, similar to what you reported in the "ysod" message.  If the suggestion in that thread to set the trust level to Full works, that could resolve the problem with the blogroll at the same time.

On a separate note, one thing I noticed on your site that is a problem with BE (not your site), is that if the "Enable Website in Comments" option is turned off in the control panel settings, it leads to a JavaScript error when trying to leave a comment.  If you go into the control panel, Settings tab -> Comments, check the box "Enable Website in Comments" and Save, that will make the Website field appear for anyone leaving a comment, and eliminate the JavaScript error.

See this thread:

I asked the hosting provider to allow <trust level="Full" /> Which fixed an image upload problem as well as the BloggRoll widget problem.

Thank you BlogEngineers!
