Stand Alone List of Posts?

Topics: Controls

I want to create a stand alone list of posts without any theme, widgets, or decorations.

Reading through the site, I found code to create a "Custom List"

<%@ Control Language="C#" %>
<%@ Import Namespace="BlogEngine.Core" %>
<%@ Register Src="~/User controls/PostList.ascx" TagName="PostList" TagPrefix="uc1" %>

<script runat="server">

	protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
		PostList1.Posts = Post.Posts.ConvertAll(new Converter<Post,
			IPublishable>(delegate(Post p) { return p as IPublishable; }));

<uc1:PostList ID="PostList1" runat="server" />

I then used the control as follows

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true"  %>
<%@ Register Src="~/User controls/CustomList.ascx" TagName="CustomList" TagPrefix="Foo" %>
		<Foo:CustomList ID="PostList1" runat="server" />

That did not seem to work, all I get is

`I%&/m{JJt`$ؐ@iG#)*eVe]f@흼{{;N'?\fdlJɞ!?~|?"Ey')=y6hO6Η<]VmmViLef:ǟ?+/{К: TWv<[~2g2?ʋyhYՋt

By the way, what is that?

Hi Jitendraapi,

I am running the latest version, downloaded last week.

My question is as follows, I want to be able to list posts (5 would be enough) on a custom page that I build. I do not want themes. I simply want to list posts on a stand alone page.

What are the minimal references, includes, that I need to create my own page where I list posts?

I imagine this question has been made before but I could not find it.
