Does BE v2.5 have a feature or extension to store post attachments in a database table instead of within the filesystem?
thanks

BE 2.5 still stores all attachments in the file system.

But I think some of the recent checkins include a new provider system where you can choose where you want images/files to be stored ... the file system or the DB.  I'm not 100% sure on this though as I haven't looked into it very closely.

Hi Ben, thanks for the quick reply.
I've been looking at the posts regarding the FileManager provider and there is a reference to a DB provider, currently in the sources.
I'll try the sources as I guess it could do with some more testing.

Do you know when the next "release" is scheduled for?

thanks

There's no date for the next release.  Probably the end of this year would be the earliest.

That doesn't mean you cannot use what's in the Source Code repository now.  I'm not sure how well it all works, but might work well.  If you do use it and find any problems, you can report them here and we can fix them.  I'm sure some other people will use that as well and we will get some reports of any problems they might run across.
