Custom field support with 2.5?

Aug 12, 2011 at 4:42 AM

Hello all,

I would like to open new website with blogengine. for each post I need to add a new custom field called YEAR.

is there a built in support for such?

if not, is it a new feature that will be added in the next version?

Depending on how you want to use this custom field, you could:

1. In the post where you need it, type in something like: [YEAR:2011]

2. Write simple extension that parses post on load and does whatever you need with that field.

Built-in extensions like "smiles" or "breakpost" do very similar things.

I am willing to save this year in a database (this is not the only custom that I will need).
