Dear all,

I'm testing BlogEngine.NET in order to get familiar with it and hopefully adopt it for my new, in construction, website.

What I am trying to do is the following:

Have two blogs published on different third level domain

On the default page I do not want to show the blog directly but a custom page.

What is the best approach to follow? How to configure Blogs in the admin page to suite this situation?

Should I deploy multiple instances of BlogEngine.NET or just one instance can do the job?

You can use the multiple blog feature.  On the primary blog (, if you create a "Page" in the BE control panel, you can check the "Is front page" box on the right side while creating/editing the Page.  This indicates this Page should appear when visiting ... instead of the normal blog posts appearing.

This assumes the BE Page is sufficient for what you what your custom page to be.  If you want a completely different custom page, then a different approach might be needed.  In that case, probably editing default.aspx.cs and adding in some code changes so a different custom page is shown for would be the way to go.
