Don't get me wrong... the screen cast is nice and all, but where is the "paper" version of the documentation.  Personally, I am rather annoyed that I can't just open a quick start PDF that I can go exactly to what I am looking for, without having to watch some guy download the source and unzip it...

Is there there any actual documentation anywhere?

and let's make the documentation event worse... let's watch him set it up on a Vista Personal Computer w IIS 7.  I mean who is the target audience here? The casual user working on their own PC or professional developers who will be more than likely working on a Windows 2003 server on IIS 6.  Ok, so maybe that's not fair becuase there are going to be mulitple audiences, but that just goes back to my original post... where is the paper documentation?

Ok.. So after I install, I find a link to the wikie - which has what I was looking for, this should really be linked to on the download code page at

Also, when I first loaded as shown in the video, I got an internal server error about not being able to find the blogengine core (I downloaded the source which by the way had a different set up procedure that in the video.).  Obviously, I knew I had to open the solution and compile it, but others may not.  The source should have the compiled core dll in the bin folder of the web app, so it is ready to run out of the box with out the need to compile it first.
