I want to study how blogengine coded.  I download source code , BlogEngine.NET 1.4.5 (source)
unzip it, there are 2 folders and 1 file

BlogEngine.Core
BlogEngine.Web
BlogEngine.NET 1.4.5.sln

I double click on "BlogEngine.NET 1.4.5.sln",   vs.net running and error message pop out.

"The application for project 'D:\net\blogEngine\BlogEngine.web' is not installed.
Make sure the application for the project type (.web) is installed.

then I click on "OK". another message showed up.

"The application for prject 'D:\net\blogEngine\BlogEngine.core\BlogEngine.Core.csproj' is not installed.
Make sure the application for the project type (.csprj) is installed.

click on "ok" again.

in the "solution explorer" BlogEngine.web show up, but saying " the project file cannot be loaded"

what did I do wrong?  is there something I forget to do?

hi, benben. thanks for help. I got it fixed.

after watching your video. I notice you are running vs.net 2008 then open the solution file.

what I did is to directly click on the solution file, then vs.net 2005 is opened, not vs.net 2008, thats why I am not able to open the project.

its weird.  I only intalled vs.net 2008, somehow 2005 also installed.

:) vs 2008 is better than 2005.
