[v2.5] Cannot put 'https:\\FQDN' into a post

I'm running 2.5 on IIS 7.5 on WIndows 2008 R2.

Whenever I put the either a link or just text containing 'https:\\' followed by the FQDN of my blog site, the 'https' gets replaced with 'http'. I can put in other URLs with other domains in prefixed with https:\\, just not my site.

I've tried diabling all extensions that could be causing this behavior.

I get it. The URL changes depending on whether I'm connected with SSL or not. When I view the page over SSL, the links all start with 'https://'.

What I was trying to do was put a link to go to the site over SSL in a post which might be viewed either via HTTP or HTTPS. Is there any way to enter this so that it does not get changed?
