How do you install a theme?

Using 2.6 (source) with a SQL backend, and this seems like a stupid question to ask, but how do you install a theme? The last version of BE I used was 1.6, and was able to simply copy the folder & files of the theme into the "themes" sub-directory. I've done this with a couple of themes in 2.6, but none of the themes are showing up on the Appearance tab to be installed, it only shows the default themes that come with BE. (they are showing in the project itself). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can't use themes with same names as in the gallery. If that is a case - just rename folder with theme you installing manually and it should show up in the list. There is also caching involved because call to gallery is expensive, so you might need to wait for list to refresh, I believe timeout is 15 minutes.

Thanks rtur, that was the issue. Had downloaded a theme from the gallery and extracted it into the themes folder with the same name.
