I have a website (http://shellbeans.com)

I also have a blog for this website (http://shellbeans.com/blogengine.net/)

I have created a link from my website to the blog

But when I get to the blog there is no link that would take me from the Blog -> to -> My Website (shellbeans.com)

All I want to do is add a button -perhaps along the top somewhere - that would take me back to my Website

Please does anyone know how to do this?
There must be some way to edit the look of the blog itself...

Thank you
Deen

You can add a link to your website by adding it to the master page of the blog. It is located at /blogdirectoryname/themes/whatever-theme-you-are-using/site.master

hi

thank you so much for your reply. really it is most appreciated. but i'm still a little confused...
lemme explain real quick.
i'm a newbie to this and i just don't know/ can't work out -
how to edit the master page?
i mean, i use WYSIWYG Web Builder to create my web pages,
is there anything like that that i can use to edit the master page?
i have gone to my godaddy account,
-accessed the file manager
-and found the master page for my blog
-but when i click on "edit"
-it opens up in html and i'm not good at working with that at all...

i suppose if i had no choice but to work with html and insert the link i would try to learn it but by the way you described the solution it seems like there's another way to edit the master page of my blog..

i know i;m asking alot... but i don't know who else to turn to and this seems way out fo my league but i'm spending hours on this trying to learn it as i go without instruction form anyone...

so your help would be so greatly appreciated.

As mentioned before, the site.master page contains the base template upon all pages & posts in your blog are rendered.  To customize your blog you would need to modify the site.master and insert in a link.  This can be done using a simple text editor, like Notepad.exe.  What you would want to do is to edit the site.master file with Notepad, and add a link using syntax like the following:

<li><a href="http://www.shellbeans.com/" rel="self">ShellBeans Home</a></li>

You would add this in the section towards the top of the site.master page where you see the other links:
<ul>
    <li><a href="default.aspx" id="ctl00_HlHome">Home</a></li>
    <li class="page_item"><a href="archive.aspx" id="ctl00_HlArchive">Archive</a></li>
    <li class="page_item"><a href="contact.aspx" id="ctl00_hlContact">Contact</a></li>
</ul>

So it would look something like:
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.shellbeans.com/" rel="self">ShellBeans Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="default.aspx" id="ctl00_HlHome">Home</a></li>
    <li class="page_item"><a href="archive.aspx" id="ctl00_HlArchive">Archive</a></li>
    <li class="page_item"><a href="contact.aspx" id="ctl00_hlContact">Contact</a></li>
</ul>

With that you would have a link on your blog back to your ShellBeans Home.
