Sending Notification Mails

I am using blog engine 1.4.5 for my team blog. All the team members are the Users of the blog with Editors authorization.

All the users post on to the blog.

Is there any way to send a notification mail to all the users when a new post is made or a new page is created or updated. I need this as the notification feature can help to intimate all the users of the latest happenings in the blog.

Everyone can subscribe to the RSS feed for the blog and be notified when there is a new post.

Hi Indey,

I had a similar issue for notifying editors when a new comment is posted:

1) I had each editor fill out the profile page with display name and email address

2) I added the following line in the /App_Code/Extensions/SendCommentMail.cs:

        mail.From = new MailAddress(from, HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(comment.Author));

Hope this helps.
