Garbled page after login

Hello Everyone,

I recently upgraded my godaddy account to .NET 4.0, I did the project upgrade in Visual Studio and everything works well locally. I deployed the project to the web server in a sub-folder and it runs, but once you login the pages are unreadable with all sorts of unreadable characters.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

James

In admin/settings turn off compression, then you should see normal error page.

Thank you! I had to make that change manually in the DB but once I did I was able to see the error page.

If anyone else has a problem with running .Net 4.0 on Godaddy , (specifically with the blog not working after the user is authenticated) please take a look at the web.sitemap file in the root folder. If you remove all instances of the parameter value 'rights' (actually remove all references to it) it may fix your problem. It seems many others were having this problem as well.
