<font> tags everywhere when loading website...

I'm not exactly sure why this happens, but I have a modified Standard theme. There are <font> tags EVERYWHERE in the default.aspx page when I open the site, but if I drill down to any post or link, the page is cleaned up with my actual CSS. I have these:
<font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2"> </font

strung out everywhere... in betweeen divs, etc. It's completely screwing up my styling on the front page in IE and changing font sizes in Firefox. Any ideas?

If anyone else ends up having this problem, it comes down to old posts and the <font> tag. Apparently, I had some postings that had been selected and pushing a different font than what my default CSS was using. Those tags got integrated into those posts. Somewhere along the line, either a tag didn't get closed or something went haywire to which it pushed font tags into my HTML in nearly every single area of my page.

I created a XML parser function that simply read all my posts, replaced the font tags with empty strings, then resaved the postings. Worked like a charm.
