Is there a way to make my site.master in my root cover my entire /blog/ directory?

I'd like to have my /blog/ directory look like the rest of my website, instead of a completely different site.

Currently, I have a master page in my root.  So all of my root pages have this at the top:

<%@ Page Title="Advertise With Us" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master"
    AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="advertise.aspx.cs" Inherits="advertise" %>

I tried to go into themes > standard > site.master and change lines to:

    <link href="~/Styles/Site.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="~/favicon.ico" />
    <link rel="icon" type="image/gif" href="~/img/RTN_favicon.GIF" />

But when logging onto the blog, in the /blog/ directory, it looks completely different, and the favicon hasn't changed, nor has the look of the site.  Is there a way I can have my main master page cover my /blog/ directory to keep the website looking uniform?
