I modified SocialPublish.cs and Add_Entry.aspx such that i have now have a tweet in addition to the Publish and Enable Comments checkboxes. That way i can choose what to tweet and when. However it sorta works and i will do my best to explain. When i create a new post as long as there no content in the Excerpt field and the tweet Checkbox is unchecked the tweet is not published. If however i type something in the excerpt field and check tweet then the tweet goes off but at twitter the tweet show HTML with the brackets and no bitly url. So what i have to do is create a new post, leave tweet unchecked, have no content in Excerpt and then save the post. The go back edit it - put my image in Excerpt and anything else and then check tweet. Then the tweet goes out properly with the right bitly url. So basically it takes an extra step to send out a tweet.
