Google Author Tags

Is there a way to add Author Tags to posts?

I am trying to implement rel=”author” for each post so that the author gets the credit. WordPress has several plugins for this. I am wondering if BlogEngine can do this.

Thanks,

It depends on your theme. You can open PostView.ascx for your theme, this is template used by every generated post. Simply add "rel" tag where appropriate, if you have multiple authors and don't want to hard-code the name use:

rel="<%=Post.Author %>"

Thanks. I coded my authorship in the posts, but for a multiple author blog, I don't think this will do it. I am talking about Google Authorship and there must be a link to the authors profile. It would look like this: <a href="https://plus.google.com/Author's_Profile/?rel=author">

Here is my Google profile: https://plus.google.com/100061547713007263798/

I think the info should be entered on the administration page. That way each author can enter their own info in their user profile.

A bit of a hack, but I suppose you can use author profile to work around this. For example you can rename label for "Phone Fax" to "Google+ ID" to collect that long number, and then just use it inside post view like:

<%=Post.AuthorProfile.PhoneFax %>
