Help wanted on MVC fork of BlogEngine.NET

Mar 13, 2013 at 9:31 AM
Hello,

I've started a fork of BlogEngine.NET using ASP.NET MVC 4. The code is available here:
https://blogengine.codeplex.com/SourceControl/network/forks/NikolaosGeorgiou/blogenginemvc

and I've been blogging about it on my blog. Here's the latest post:
http://ngeor.net/blog/post/2013/03/13/BlogEngineNET-MVC-Progress-update.aspx

Like everybody else, I have limited time to spend on this but I'm really excited about it. I was wondering if there other people here that find an MVC fork an interesting idea. If you think so and you want to help, you are most welcome! Drop me a line if you'd like to help. Thanks!

Hi Nikolaos,

i had the same idea. But due to the lack of time i didn't startet it until now. I've written some mods, extensions and themes for be in the past. So i have a good understanding of the internals of be. In my main job i'm working as a web developer using asp mvc4 und did webforms as well in the past. Just let me know if you're interested.

Hi raisr,

sounds great! Feel free to have a look at the code and if you find something you can pick up give it a go. I did some more work during the weekend.

I haven't done this on codeplex, but I assume you can somehow fork my existing fork (https://blogengine.codeplex.com/SourceControl/network/forks/NikolaosGeorgiou/blogenginemvc) or something and then you can do a pull request?
