Inserting Javascript on textbox?

Jan 16, 2009 at 1:04 AM
Hi there

Just started using the software and it looks good. I was wondering if there is a way to insert Javascript code in the TextBox - or if there are any other plugin for this.

I know I can add code to posts using Raw Editor, but I don't see this option on TextBox. Any ideas?

Thanks.

When editing a TextBox, do you see an HTML icon on the left side of the toolbar?  Clicking that is another way to insert raw HTML.

Hello BenAmanda

Thanks for your reply. Yes I see it - but that Raw HTML is actually filtered by TinyMCE so <javascript> codes are removed when we click Update, so it is not exactly the same as Raw HTML

How about this?

<script type="text/javascript">
alert('test');
</script>

When putting that in the HTML Source Editor, clicking Update, and then Save, I get that JavaScript alert on every page of my blog.  You don't?

Arghhh. Tested again and it worked... I have no idea why it didn't work before.

Thanks for that...

Glad it works.  Maybe with more complicated JavaScript it doesn't work.  I haven't tried anything other than that simple alert ...
