Cache Timeout

Is there a way to set the amount of time something stays in the cache?  I ask because we are using a web farm.  I understand that the caching will be independant on each web server.  I also understand that we could update the web.config file on each server which would then clear the cache.  Our users won't have that option when they are updating a page, so I want to limit the time that something is cached to help with this problem.  I like that it is cached so that it reduces the number of trips to our database server, but we need to come up with a way to get the pages up-to-date on all the servers as quickly as possible.

So, anyone know where to set the amount of time a page / post is cached?
