Three Digit Url Rule for Google News

Topics: Business Logic Layer

Google news requires a unique three digit url in order to crawl the page properly. Right now it looks like BlogEngine only has the standard YYYY/MM/DD format which google doesn't allow. Is it possible to have the urls listed with /Post/PostNumber/PostTitle.aspx with PostNumber being an IDENTITY column that starst at 10000?

Google requirements: http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=68323

Right now it doesn't seem like any blogengine installation can submit to google news.

Hello

I have just inttalled BlogEngine.NET on my Visit Horsham site with the intention of providing a news service:

http://www.visithorsham.co.uk/horshamnews/

I would like to submit this site to Google News so would also like to see this problem resolved.

Regards

Gavin

Dont agree this applies any longer as all of our news items after switching to BE in last 2 weeks get in and they are in this format /news/2009/05/16/the title of news story.aspx, we did change post to news though.
