I installed v1.4.5 into a subdirectory of my existing website. When I log into my website it also logs me into as well. And if I try to log into I get "login attempt was not successful". It is defaulting to the main website provider for both. I need to keep them separate. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can accomplish this or maybe provide a different alternative?

I am assuming that you are using SqlMembership for both web and BE here.  One way to accomplish your goal might be to set the folder you have BE in as an application, and then use a seperate application name within the WEb.config settings for the sqlmembership.
