i have tried to install blogengine.net as subdirectory to existing website asp.net website. i have ran into numerous security issues. my existing asp.net login no longer works as there seems to be a conflict with blogengine.security. if i turn blogengine.security by not including <add name="SecurityModule" type="BlogEngine.Core.Security, BlogEngine.Core"/> in the module, i am able to get normal asp.net login to work, but am unable to access/link to the blogs/default.aspx page.

any help or guidance would be appreciated

BlogEngine runs multiple instances on single domain. In order to do this it has to modify domain cookie to include instance ID as part of the authentication cookie, I'm guessing this is where it won't work with parent level membership.
