Duplication of posts

Have checked the forum for answers to this with no joy.... The problem I am finding is that a couple of users are adding in multiply posts, is there a way to filter these out or the only choice is that of Admin deleting the posts if they see multi posts... Any help or pointing in the right directions for a widget / filter would be cool...

Having duplicate post titles acceptable as long as unique ID and slug generated for every post. For example /blog/the-post and /blog/the-post2 both having "The post" title. If you want to restrict uniqueness of the title, you would need to make a code change, there is no setting for this.

Thanks for the feedback - might be question in the first instead - will add an example below...

author/xxxxxx.aspx

Do not mind that both Authors have the same <Title>, the problem is that they have both each added it multiply time to there Author Posts section... We Admin it by hand and detail the extra Blog Posts... looking for an easy way to do this... Result:

author/xxxxxx.aspx
post/2013/10/24/This-is-the-Beginning-of-Something-GREAT.aspx

author/yyyyyy.aspx
post/2013/10/24/This-is-the-Beginning-of-Something-GREAT.aspx
post/2013/10/24/This-is-the-Beginning-GREATNESS.aspx

Thanks for the feedback so far...

Are they real dups or just cached copies that go away if you recycle the app? How do you remove them by hand - delete physical file or DB record? Do they have different file name/record ID? What version are you using? Any idea how they created (web admin, WLW etc)?

Is there a way to keep the duplicates out of the cache? Or at least not display them in the post list on the admin page? The Posts table does not contain duplicates so when I call Post.Reload or recycle the app pool they are cleared out but this is only a band aid fix.
