I have installed blogengine.net 1.4.  All pages are requiring a login.  That doesn't seem right.  Shouldn't the Home, Archive, and Contact pages be accessible without a an account?  I've made no changes to the web.config file.

Are you referring to a Windows login box or are you actually seeing the BlogEngine Login.aspx page appear?

I'm actually seeing the blogengine login.aspx page.

I found the problem: I had forms authentication turned on in the web.config file in my root directory (the /blog directory also sits in the root directory).  The /blog directory was not being excluded from authentication.  Once I added

<location path="blog">
  <system.web>
    <authorization>
      <allow users="*" />
    </authorization>
  </system.web>
</location>

to my web.config file everything started working correctly.
