By which property of a post are posts sorted? It seems as though they are sorted by the actual file timestamp, rather than by the pubDate in the file. Is that right? The problem this presents for me is that I have written an application that moves a bunch of data from my database, into BlogEngine.NET posts (xml files). They all have about the same timestamp on the file, but different pubDates.

I can make a new post using BE.NET, and that new post will show on the homepage as the first post like it should, but if I 'touch' the web.config and the site recompiles the sort order of the posts appears random. Each time I touch the web.config, my posts are sorted in a different order and the posts I just created using BE.NET is no longer the first one listed on the homepage.

I think I found the issue. I think I just have my pubDate formatted incorrectly for BE.NET.
