HTTP Compression issue

So I just installed version 2.9 to a subdomain on my site. While everything looked fine, I was getting an error "Content Encoding Error" in my browser(s). Found that if I went through my hosting providers IIS (v8) and turn off http compression, that it would all work just fine. Looking at the troubleshooting, everything looks fine and searching for this in the documentation made no mention of issues. Hosting is all current stuff, 4.5, 2012, etc.... Any ideas on this? Thanks much.

There is "enable HTTP compression" in settings/advanced. If it is on, turn it off - it might be that errors due to double compressing.

Looks like by default, http compression is turned off in blogengine options. So it was not on when this was occurring. That said, it wouldn't have been double compressing. If http compression is needed, then should it not be done in IIS? Haven't tried that yet. Any further take on this? Thanks much.
