re-enabling "about the author" section in theme that doesn't show it

Can anyone tell me how to make the "about the author" section show up in a theme such as Brightside that doesn't display it at present? I've been looking for a control in the site.master files of various themes but obviously I'm not looking in the right place...or for the right thing.

It looks like the BrightSide theme doesn't have a <blog:WidgetZone> control in it.

See the Widget documentation here on "Widget Support in Older Themes".  You should be able to pretty painlessly add a widgetzone into your theme.

Many thanks for the response. I did find the widget section, and then
found the Quote of the day widget/user control, which was what I was
going to use the "about the author" thing for. I'm pretty happy with
it overall.

Thanks again for your wisdom.

Best regards,
Neil Humphrey
