Blogging Training Locally with blogengine.net as blogging plateform

May 24, 2014 at 5:59 PM
I am going to start Blogging Training Locally. Can blogengine.net can be taken as blogging software, for training purpose and for live blog for client, as everybody know wordpress, and to convince them is little bit tough.
And besides, plugins, themes, widget are much more in wordpress compare to BE.(pro of wordpress)
but BE is extensible, robust, lightweight, secure, and have Microsoft enterprise level sqlserver as backend, apart from mysql(pro of BE)
Any suggestion, opinion ....
Thanks

Good idea, let me know if you need any help. I wouldn't compare BE to a project with hundreds people working on and thousands businesses contributing to though, it is a bit unfair to both.

Hi Zeal Geeks,

WordPress vs BlogEngine.Net in terms of resources has no match at all.

WordPress is funded by a Multimillion Dollar Corporation Automattic with paid developers.

In terms of a .Net Platform for Blogging in my own opinion BlogEngine.Net wins hands down :)

The old problems always come up through and that is Resources and funding.

If BlogEngine.Net had the same level of resources, support, and funding as WordPress, WordPress might not exist today.

But, with lots of the developers here and their great support and all other developers and users out there BlogEngine.net has existed for a long time as a true

"Free and Open Source" platform.

I see Great things in the future for BlogEngine.Net, lots of major improvements and can't wait for BE 3.0 !

Have a Great Day!
