Settings Page Not Found

May 14, 2009 at 1:24 PM

I just installed the latest 1.5 version of BE.NET by building the source in Visual Studio 2008.  The site seems to be working except for one anomaly: I cannot access the Settings page.  I receive an "Oops! Page Not Found" error.  I can access other tabs (pages) in Administration; only the Settings page is causing problems.  The page does exist in the admin folder on the host.  I receive the same error if I enter the URL directly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Change the <customErrors> tag in your web.config file to the following:

<customErrors mode="Off">

You should then see an error when going to the Settings page.  The <customErrors> tag currently in your web.config file is setup to redirect you to error404.aspx when an unhandled error occurs.

Thanks, Ben, should have thought of that.  duh.  The error turned out to be "Culture name 'zh-TW\vticnf' is not supported", which KoboldChieftain provided the answer to here (although the correct line number is 279 in 1.5).

Thanks for the assist.
