Setting blogengine.net in IDE

Hi all,

I am newbee to blogengine.net and I am trying to set up blogengine in my IDE. I downloaded the source and opened it in VS2008 but when I try to open the design window for default.aspx within my IDE, I am getting the below error in PostCalendar custom control,

"Error rendering control. Unhandled exception occurred. Object Reference not set to an instance of an oject" This happens in the design view.

The "SearchOnSearch" custom control is also generating the same error.

It seems none of the custom controls present in the App_Code/Controls folder are rendering in the design view of IDE.

Please note I did not change any of the given code.

Please throw some light on this.

Thanks

Are you opening the SLN solution file in VS2008?

I don't know about that error, but if I try to open the default.aspx page in the designer, I get an error that "The page has controls that require a Master Page reference, but none is specified."  This error is "normal" since the master pages are dynamically set at runtime.

Generally speaking, I don't think the VS designer is going to work with the pages in BE.

You should still be able to build and run the project.  Build -> Build Solution, and then F5 to run.
