Using BlogEngine to create static pages only web ?

May 31, 2009 at 8:18 PM

I know it sounds a bit oldfashioned but I'd like to use BlogEngine to create static web pages only (running local web server) and then upload them on a web server without ASP.NET support. I'm not web developer/designer at all so I'd like to use it as "content generator" which generates all the HTML/CSS design stuff for me. I'm aware that it is not very handy for frequent content updates but that's not the case. Is there any support for such scenario ?

You can compose HTML on the Add Entry tab in the control panel.  Once you're done, you can click the 'HTML' toolbar icon or the "Use raw HTML editor" checkbox which will show you the HTML you created using the WYSIWYG editor.  You can then copy-and-paste that into a text editor and save it with an HTML extension.

You could also click the Save post button to save it in case you need to later come back and edit what you did.
