Hi, I need some advice on the commercial use of BlogEngine (if it's allowed).

I would like to use this software for a Commercial installation on a corporate intranet.

I need to be able to reskin in the corporate design, what are the restrictions?

I am happy to pay a fee to buy for the single use, is this allowed?

Could anyone confirm the position please?

Many thanks, Donald

Will you be re-selling the end product that you develop with BE?

As long as you aren't selling it, I think you can do whatever you want with it... it is polite to drop a link back to the creators, but I don't think it's required by the license...

I could be wrong, if I am... sorry!

Hi, I will be reselling it to a single client.

Paying for the application is not a problem, just need to know if this is allowed say on a per server basis or something?

BlogEngine.NET is licensed under the Microsoft Permissive License, which basically means that you can do anything you want to the source code as long as you release it under the same license.

Maybe sell your time, and give him BE for free, and maybe re-release whatever you build with it for free after you have been paid for your time?  IDK
