Can blogengine be used with 3rd part blogging tools such as the flock browser?

You can use 3rd party looks like Windows Live Writer (WLW) to create/edit blog posts.

You can also swap out the existing tinyMce WYSIWYG editor with another WYSIWYG editor.  This requires a small amount of work, but it's not that bad.

I'm not sure what type of editor Flock browser offers.  Maybe someone else knows more about that.  Just wanted to pass the above info on ...

Great that is good news that it does! I have downloaded live writer but what blog type should I set it to?

FLock is a firefox based browser with social media in mind. It can be used as a blog editor and flickr uploader etc.

The links ikaran posted should work.

With the latest version of WLW and BE (1.5), I'm pretty sure you can just select 'Other blog service', and then when prompted for 'Web address of your blog', you can just enter the homepage of your blog.  I don't think adding "metaweblog.axd" to the end of the URL is necessary anymore.
