embed objects, can I?

can I embed in my version of blogengine???

1) video from youtube,

2) pdfs and docs from scribd


Basically allwoing me to paste in html code <embed></embed>

I've tried it with the editor and it doesn't work.  but you can download extensions or write your own and place them in your extensions folder to make up for it. You won't be able to use the <embed><object> tags in the html editor.  I dont know why yet, but the editor removes them.

I've adapted the youtube extension created by Al Bsharah to work with scribd.  Is there already something out there for this?  Anyway,  this is only a rough hack and I'll try to get it finished and more usuable as fast as I can and post it here. If that is ok with

Screencast should be a quick extension too.

Hello,  I've finished the scribd extension.  All you have to do is find and press the advanced button on scribd.coms embed and share info. From there,, there is a wordpress code section. That is the code you need to paste into your posts.  I suggest you use the copy buttom provided next to the wordpress embed info. So it's pretty painles.

You can download it at my site.  Simply unzip the compressed file into your extensions folder.
