Hi BlogEngine Team!

Congrats on the 1.6 release, just upgraded and so far it looks good. Easy upgrade as always.

Over the last weeks I have had some thoughts about SEO my blog, but I could quickly see that this couldn't just be done through my theme, changes to the core and website is needed.

So that's why I'm asking you here if you could look into it, for instance just make the "Standard" theme have close to zero errors when ran through the SEO Toolkit from Microsoft?

I wrote a small blogpost about this too: http://www.laumania.net/post/BlogEngineNet-16-released-e28093-Maybe-focus-on-SEO-in-next-release.aspx

Hope you can look into this :)

Thanks in advance,

Mads from http://www.laumania.net

Nice post, great tool too...thanks for sharing!  I'm on board with this, would love to see some improvements.  Even if they happen over time, any improvement is good.

Cheers,
AL

I agree with this too. I have used the Microsoft Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Toolkit http://www.microsoft.com/web/spotlight/seo.aspx on one of my site and have gotten down to “Zero” violation on the main site. This excludes the wiki, blog and forums. As a result I have found that I’m getting better ranking and hits on my site because of this. Some of the fixes are simply adding to the default robots.txt, other are changes to the underlying code.
