Modifying the start page

Hi !

I'm a new user of blogengine.net 1.6 .

Probably, a stupid question. If i create a new page within the appropriate function in the control panel and set it as start page... Which is the link of the original default list of posts ?!

I'm modifying the menu so i can access my blog after displaying a custom start page.

Thanks in advance

There is no way I'm aware of to access the old homepage.

One possible way to handle this is to create a separate physical file, such as index.aspx, and put your start page content into that file.  Then in the web server, set it up so index.aspx comes before default.aspx in the Default Documents section.  On this new index.aspx page, you can then have a link to default.aspx (the page which will list all the blog posts).  In this scenario, index.aspx won't be a BE "Page", and you'll want to make sure and uncheck any existing pages that are currently set as the start page -- so the normal list of blog posts appears on default.aspx.

I take that back.  It looks like you can access the normal homepage with the list of blog posts by adding a query string parameter of ?page=1.  Example:

http://www.your-blog.com/?page=1

I know this is an older post but someone may find this useful.

http://www.your-blog.com/blog.aspx is really what you were looking for unless I misunderstood.
