I just download BlogEngine.NET 1.1 (Source), un-zip it in to a folder, and set this folder is the main folder of IIS
But it can't work. It shows a error on line 9 of following code.
Error message: CS0246: Can't find class or namespace “BlogEngine”

Line 7: using System.Web.UI.HtmlControls;
Line 8: using System.IO;
Line 9: using BlogEngine.Core;
Line 10:
Line 11: #endregion

Then I download BlogEngine.NET 1.1 (WebProject), and do the same things as above.
This time it can work normally.

My IIS version is 5.1 and use Asp.Net 2.0 50727

Is there any body could tell me why? Thank you.

Am having the same exact issue - would love an answer!

I believe when you download the source code it does not contain the compiled Blogengine.Core DLL (bin folder in the BlogEngine.NET folder is empty). You would need to open up the solution using Visual Studio .Net 2005 and do a "Rebuild Solution" which will compile the Blogengine.Core.dll

If you don't have VS2005 you can probably also compile it from the command line using csc, but I haven't tried that.
Alternatively, download the Web project and put BlogEngine.Core.dll (and maybe BlogEngine.Core.pdb) into the BlogEngine.NET\bin folder.

That should do the trick.
